About Us

In June, 2001, a group of arts-minded Madison residents got together to discuss the possibility of an arts council in Madison.  After many meetings and discussions, Madison Arts Council was born.  Madison Arts Council received official 501(c)3 status in the Spring of 2002. 

Since its founding, the Madison Arts Council has been instrumental in organizing such events as the Summer Gazebo Concerts and in supporting artistic efforts in Madison.

The Madison Arts Council heavily depends on the contributions and efforts of the local public.  Help support the Council by becoming a member.

Goals of the Madison Arts Council

  • Promote Madison arts events.
  • Help artists, non-profit art organizations, and art businesses with information and resources.
  • Web site and newsletter with calendar of art events, resources, and organizations.
  • Art Festival.
  • Gazebo concerts.
  • Art in the schools.
  • Special events.
  • Centralized ticket information.
  • Centralized art in Madison information.
